Paper trading · Real market data · Zero risk
Find out if your trades were skill or luck.
Your account balance cannot tell you the difference. Opus gives you a $200,000 practice account on real market data, and a coach that grades the reasoning you entered on rather than the number you exited with. A winning trade built on a wrong thesis is still a wrong trade, and knowing which is which is the only thing that compounds.
No credit card. No real money. Educational only. Not investment advice.
Safety is the product
Guardrails most brokers
don't even offer.
New options traders don't blow up because they're unlucky. They blow up because nothing stopped them. Opus is built the other way around.
- A stop on every trade, by default. Single-leg positions get an automatic exit bracket, risking half the premium and targeting three-quarters, closed by the platform the moment either level is touched.
- Undefined risk, defined away. Selling an option? One tap adds a protective wing and turns it into a spread with a fixed, known worst case.
- Experience-gated complexity. Tell us you're new and the app simply won't pitch you four-leg structures. Complexity unlocks as you grow.
- Earnings awareness. The engine warns when a report falls inside your trade window, before you enter rather than after.
Honest math, plain English
Analytics that tell you
the truth.
No black boxes and no dressed-up guesses. When we don't have the data, the app says so, and when we do it's the real thing.
- Backtests on real prices. Strategy backtesting replays actual historical option premiums, not textbook model prices. Trades the data can't support are skipped and counted, never simulated.
- Probabilities that admit uncertainty. Outcome odds come from fat-tailed Monte Carlo simulation of each stock's own behavior, calibrated against realized results.
- A Confidence Score that's graded. Every recommendation's confidence is stamped at entry and scored against what actually happened, so the engine is accountable to its own track record.
- Nightly scan library. Curated market scans (high-probability puts, defensive condors, broken-wing butterflies with a no-risk side), recomputed every night across the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100.
The coach in your corner
Every trade ends with
a lesson, not just a number.
Most journals tell you what you made. Ours tells you why, and grades the decision separately from the outcome, because you can be right and lose money, or wrong and get paid.
- A to F process grades. Entry timing, sizing and volatility environment, graded like a coach reviewing film, on every closed trade.
- Thesis on record. Lock in your one-sentence hypothesis when you enter. The review grades whether you were right, independent of whether you profited.
- The better trade. Not just what went wrong: the concrete alternative structure you could have placed instead, built from your trade's specific flaws.
- Pattern memory. "You've held losers past your stop three times this month" is the kind of thing the journal notices when you can't see it one trade at a time.
